From the Health Canada web site:
"The Marketed Health Products Directorate (MHPD), Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) and the Biologic and Genetic Therapies Directorate (BGTD) posts safety alerts, public health advisories, press releases and other notices from industry as a service to health professionals, consumers, and other interested parties. Although MHPD, TPD and BGTD approve therapeutic products, the MHPD, TPD and BGTD do not endorse either the product or the company. Any questions regarding product information should be discussed with your health professional."

The DrugBank database
From the University of Alberta, The 'DrugBank' database is a unique bioinformatics and cheminformatics resource that combines detailed drug (i.e. chemical, pharmacological and pharmaceutical) data with comprehensive drug target (i.e. sequence, structure, pathway) information. It is the largest in the world, launched in January 2006, and free.
