Edward (Ted) Masters has 23 years of experience as a civil litigation lawyer. In that time Ted has developed a strong reputation in eastern Ontario for helping people who have Fibromyalgia and/or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Ted’s clients appreciate his thorough legal knowledge and understanding of the physical, emotional, and financial challenges each client must face. In full consultation with his clients, Ted seeks to maximize claim values while working towards an early resolution.
He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Federal Court Trial Division.
Ted received his legal education at the University of Western Ontario, LL.B. 1977 and at the London School of Economics, LL.M. 1979. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1981 and has practised with the firm since that time.
Ted has developed a solid reputation in the legal community for his thoughtful and timely seminar presentations and publications. His articles have appeared in The Lawyers Weekly. He is frequently asked to make presentations to the local legal community at the annual County of Carleton Law Association Civil Litigation Conference.
Other papers by Ted have been delivered in Ottawa to the Legal Education Centre of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Ted has lectured at the Bar Admission Course for the Law Society of Upper Canada and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Ottawa Law School in Trial Advocacy and Civil Procedure.
