Took a very long time to diagnose me...and getting help is still and everyday struggle.

I have to work from home and am trying to fight for disability but have no clue where and how to start?!

I am 32 yrs old. I had 6 yrs of utter pain and depression because with hundreds of tests and misdiagnoses no doctor (and there were many) could find anything wrong with me and finally they chalked it up to psychiatrist and that it was all in my head.

Then I found a doctor who had just recently found out about CFS and diagnosed me with that...it was a sad yet happy day!

I lost that doc (cancer) and am in process of educating my new doctor about my disease...and your website will be great help.

I gained alot of weight due to fact I couldn't get out of bed, let alone exercise...but I have fought back (hard but did) and lost 113 lbs.   And though everyday is a maybe on how I will feel ..I take it one step at a time and with support from my family I am able to function with the best of my ability.

I had been in remission for almost 3 yrs but my symptoms are recurring...and now that I know what it is I believe I will not get as depressed and be able to manage a bit better
